What Members Say

Jane Swanston Creative Director

I represent all our artist members. That is my key task as Creative Director.
I'm a practicing artist and a part-time art lecturer at the University of Ulster. I also run creative art workshops and school and community art schemes.

Before obtaining my Masters Degree in Fine Art, I trained as a colourist, managed an art studio and ran an art related business. I feel I have a pretty good idea of how the art world works.
And I really do understand the problems facing artists trying to promote their work. For many, banging on art gallery doors is simply too daunting a task. For others, it leads to disappointment or rejection. For most, it's simply financially unviable.

I want artists to be creative and to be able to sell their work for a fair price and hassle-free. With all the support we offer member artists, I'm certain they can do it.

I've been brought in specifically to keep the artist's viewpoint at the very heart of this space. As an artist myself, I very much look forward to fulfilling that objective.

Alan Evans Managing Director

My role is simple - to make sure both artists and collectors are successful here.
I've collected art for 40 years and I've represented artists. Collectors told me exactly how they wanted this site to work and over 170 artists beta tested the site. We talked personally to every one of them. We listened and we built the site totally around their needs.

The old artist-gallery model is evolving - with a massive shift towards self-selling on the Internet. Getting gallery representation can be complicated, time-consuming and incur high commission. Artists need 24 hr x 365 day personal presentation to collectors - and very low commission. And that's exactly what we offer them.

Twelve years ago, I founded IrishArt.com - the top art site representing every Irish gallery - with thousands of artists and collectors as members.
Now, direct sales via our new multiple selling sites opens up tremendous new opportunities for collectors and artists alike with safe payment guaranteed.

I know you'll feel at home here.

I really hope you'll check out our outstanding launch offer and join us as an artist member or a collector.

David Wemyss Security Systems Director

I hold my hands up - I'm not very "arty". I have only one original painting but it is a really good one. There's time yet to become a collector with all those empty spaces on my walls to fill. Put me down as a serious art collecting prospect.
I grew up surrounded by technology like PC's, Macs, games consoles, music systems, mobile phones and electronic music hardware. There was lots of art at home so perhaps I just took it for granted everyone had original art.

Getting my Masters Degree in Computing from Staffordshire University was just doing what I love most - plus late nights. I wrote my thesis on Network Security for Small and Medium sized businesses. That is an area of great interest for me and should be for any website on the internet. Our multiple art sites - with both artists and collectors meeting together and doing business - are carefully monitored to keep them secure.

My job is to consider and report on all aspect of security for our art sites. We know your security and privacy is very important to you.
I can assure you that it is just as important to us too.
